Moving Quickly? Or Moving too Fast? Netflix Scraps Qwikster Plans
After announcing an upcoming split into two separate companies, Netflix has decided the division between itself and would-be-sister-company, Qwikster, to be a bad move. Rather than restructuring its service plans, Netflix has opted to continue offering both streaming and DVD rental services conveniently from the same source. Netflix acknowledged that they were moving too fast in planning the split, just as many disapproving customers passionately expressed upon learning of Netflix’ plans. Netflix CEO, Reed Hastings, stated that, “Consumers value the simplicity Netflix has always offered, and we respect that. There is a difference between moving quickly and moving too fast, which is what we did in this case.” Your Salt Lake City movers couldn’t agree more! Not so much with the specific decision to cancel Qwikster, but with the concept of moving quickly, moving too fast, and the distinction between the two.
